Established by Fangtang Institute at Tsinghua University, the Fangtang Innovation Doctoral Dissertation Award encourages young scholars in the humanities and social sciences to explore original ideas and pursue academic frontiers with the courage to move beyond established knowledge. In response to the new questions and possibilities opened by AI, the award promotes interdisciplinary learning and exchange and inquiry into foundational, essential, and forward-looking questions. It seeks to bring fresh currents of thought and humanistic guidance to technological and social change.
